Alleged double-murderer attempting to sell info from behind bars: report

By Eliot HastieJune 12, 2025, 10:36am

The man accused of killing gay couple Jesse Baird and Luke Davies has been offering interviews and information about his case to media outlets in exchange for money, The Daily Telegraph reports.

Using an intermediary, former NSW Police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon has allegedly been attempting to broker deals, including an exclusive interview with his mother during which he would appear via video call.

The News Corp publication said it had been approached with the offer but declined.

Lamarre-Condon has been in custody for more than 16 months after handing himself in to police over the alleged double murder of Baird, a Channel Ten presenter, and his partner Davies, a Qantas flight attendant, at Baird’s Paddington home in 2024.

Jesse Baird (left) and Luke Davies were allegedly murdered by Beau Lamarre-Condon.

Before joining the police force, Lamarre-Condon ran a celebrity blog, interviewing stars at events such as the Golden Globes and taking selfies with high-profile figures including Harry Styles and Taylor Swift.

Initially, Lamarre-Condon used his own lawyer in the case before he switched to Legal Aid, which provides free legal advice to eligible people across NSW.

The last time the case was heard in court, it was revealed that a forensic psychiatric report on Lamarre-Condon had been received and that the case was “progressing”, according to NewsWire.

The case is scheduled to return to court on June 17.

Lamarre-Condon is facing two counts of murder and one charge of breaking and entering with intent to commit an indictable offence. He is yet to enter any pleas.

Editor’s note: Journalist Eliot Hastie knew Jesse Baird.
