Dutch house DJ, record producer and remixer Fedde Le Grand has been announced as the final headliner for the Mardi Gras FINALE closing party run by GAYM Entertainment.
Le Grand – who is behind the house tracks “Let Me Think About It” and “Put Your Hands Up for Detroit” – headlines some of the biggest festivals and clubs across the globe.
The FINALE party is held at Home The Venue in Darling Harbour across five multi-genre dance floors.
It runs from 10pm Sunday, March 3, until 12pm Monday, March 4. There will be 30 artists and performers.
Le Grand accompanies three other international names including DJ SURI (headliner of The Domain Dance Party at Sydney World Pride), Anne Louise (headliner of Bangkok’s New Year’s Eve White Party) and Toy Armada, who is known for his Billboard No. 1 remixes with artists like Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Hailee Steinfeld, Carly Rae Jepsen, Kylie Minogue and Cher.
Alongside the multiple international headliners, FINALE will also showcase both local and interstate DJs across dance spaces featuring circuit, house, disco, pop and techno music genres.
Other performers at FINALE include drag performers Kween Kong, Hannah Conda and Logan the Drag Queen.
Others include DJs Du Jour, Jesse Boyd, Mike Palma, CHRS.NDRSN, D’Mateo and Nic Holland, among many more.
Le Grand has 421,000 Instagram followers, which is on par with the follower count of singer Sophie Ellis Bexter (571,000) of “Murder on the Dance Floor” fame. Ellis Bexter is headlining the Bondi Beach Party.
Other Bondi Beach Party performers include singer Slayyyter (238,000 followers) and DJs Josh Harrison (85,000 followers) and Corey Craig (15,300). Singer Adam Lambert, who is headlining the official Mardi Gras after-party, has 1.8 million followers.
“Fedde is one of my all-time favourite DJs, so we had to make it happen,” GAYM owner Jesse Lawson told GSN of securing Le Grand.
“I’ve only ever seen Fedde perform at big festivals (like Tomorrowland), so having him at FINALE is definitely one of those moments where I need to pinch myself.”
GAYM’s other events include weekly club night DéjàVu, Morning Glory, ShipREKT, HORRORWEEN Festival and a recently launched Brazilian pop, funk & samba party called Badalo.
Early bird FINALE tickets started at $89 back but are now $150 + booking fee.
