DJ Dan Murphy says his popular “I Remember House” event at the Ivy on Good Friday will be his biggest party yet with the announcement that it will now be a full venue takeover.

I Remember House announced on Thursday that it is now activating all the dance zones in the Ivy precinct.

In addition to the regular main room and top floor, the ballroom and rooftop pool have been added to the line-up.

“Each dance zone will have a distinct sound so you can find your favourite space throughout the day,” Murphy told Gay Sydney News.

“Taking over both buildings will almost double our capacity, and we can welcome up to 4000 guests to kick of the Easter Weekend together.

“IRH is also touring to Brisbane and Melbourne on the Easter weekend too.”

Sydney’s early-entry tickets (for those who arrive before 2.30pm) are $31.75 including fees. Regular tickets are now in third release for $52.45 and go up to $67.98 in the final release. However, I Remember House is offering Gay Sydney News readers $5 off entry for the first 100 people who use the coupon code “GSN” at checkout (we will not profit from this).

I Remember House starts at 1.30pm on Friday, April 18, and goes until 9.30pm.

I Remember House will then go on tour to Brisbane at The Wickham on Saturday April 19, where it’ll run from 2pm-10pm before heading to Melbourne’s Chasers nightclub 9pm-3am on Easter Sunday (April 20).

I Remember House’s Dan Murphy is also behind Club Broadway, the Australian and New Zealand musical-theatre club night that plays popular show tunes, which he co-founded with Gary Nunn. Visit irememberhouse.com for more information and tickets.
