Corrections policy

At Gay Sydney News, accuracy is central to our mission. We are committed to providing fair, balanced, and factual reporting, and we take all concerns about the accuracy of our content seriously.

Requesting a correction

If you believe we have published an error, please contact our editor directly:
Email: [email protected]

Please include:

  • A link to the article in question
  • The specific information you believe is inaccurate
  • Any supporting evidence or references

How we handle corrections

  • We review all correction requests promptly.
  • If a correction is warranted, the article will be updated with accurate information and a note explaining the change.
  • If additional context or clarification is appropriate, we may add an editor's note to ensure readers understand the update.
  • Significant corrections will be clearly dated and described at the end of the article.

Clarifications

In cases where content is factually correct but could be clearer or more precise, we may issue a clarification to ensure our reporting is fully understood.

Archival changes

We do not generally remove published content from our archives. In exceptional circumstances – such as legal requirements, safety concerns, or privacy considerations – requests for removal will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Commitment to transparency

Corrections and clarifications help maintain trust with our readers and the community we serve. We believe acknowledging and fixing mistakes openly is essential to responsible journalism.
