Rising gay pop singer Jett Blyton has released a new single, "Omg", three months before he performs at Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras' Fair Day.
The track, released on Friday, is the latest single from The American Heartthrob, Blyton's forthcoming second long-form project, according to a media release from his publicist.

The Canberra-born singer, who now lives in Sydney, was named on the Fair Day line-up on Thursday, when Mardi Gras unveiled its 2027 festival program. Fair Day, which opens the festival, will be held at Victoria Park, Camperdown, on Sunday, February 14, 2027 – Valentine's Day.
Pop-rock duo Rogue Traders will headline. The line-up also includes R&B singers Zipporah and Becca Hatch, pop-rock band Dizzy Days and DJ Kate Monroe, who specialises in the house music genre.
Blyton said he wanted "Omg" to be "as loud and clear as possible".
"I wrote it to say exactly how I felt at the time and leave nothing up for interpretation; I'm always scared to tell someone how I feel, but for some reason condensing it into a 3:30 pop song feels so effortless," he said.
He said he had his tarot cards read for the first time before writing the song. "'Omg' feels like peak millennial optimism to me, like Spice Girls blaring with the windows down and the kind of rush you get from fawning over someone you barely know."

The single follows a busy year for the singer. In September, he performed at the BIGSOUND music industry festival in Brisbane after his first headline tour, and earlier in the year he was named in NME's 100 Essential Emerging Artists for 2026, according to the release.
He also appeared in Triple J's Unearthed High Yearbook in 2023 and 2024, was nominated at the MusicACT Music Awards, and has had his songwriting praised publicly by Sabrina Carpenter and Audrey Hobert, the release said.
Blyton spoke to Gay Sydney News last year for the debut episode of our podcast.
"Omg" is available on Apple Music and Spotify.
