Dear readers,

You are at the heart of everything we do here at Gay Sydney News. Your support fuels our mission to deliver quality journalism that defends the marginalised, celebrates our vibrant community, and holds those in power to account. Without continued support from people like you, keeping these stories alive simply isn’t possible.

If you believe in the importance of our work, please consider a small one-off or monthly contribution. Every bit helps us keep shining a light on the issues that matter most. As a thank you, we’ll add your name to our website’s supporter wall if you’d like to be recognised.

Gay Sydney News was founded by myself (journalist Ben Grubb), with massive support from Eliot Hastie, who is also a journalist. To date, I have invested more than $7000 of my own funds to keep this news service going, reaching hundreds of thousands of readers every month.

I would like to pay Eliot and all others who have generously contributed their time and talent, as well as pay for the many expenses incurred in running a quality news publication – from company record search fees; freedom of information document request access fees; transport and tickets to events to report on them; website and email hosting; domain name and security fees; video- and photo-editing software subscriptions; legal fees; lighting, video and audio equipment; and website plugins to name a few.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us.

Together we can continue telling the stories that matter.

With gratitude,
GSN founder Ben Grubb
