Police will prepare a report for the coroner following the death of a 41-year-old woman at the Colombian Hotel in Surry Hills.
Gay Sydney News can reveal the woman was declared dead early on Wednesday morning, April 2, at the licensed venue on the corner of Oxford and Crown streets in Sydney’s gaybourhood.

A person familiar with the death who did not wish to be named said the woman was found dead in a disabled toilet, although authorities would not confirm this.
Police told Gay Sydney News the death is not being treated as suspicious. However, the coroner may choose to hold an inquest if further investigation is deemed necessary.
The Colombian Hotel was contacted twice via email and once by text message, but did not respond. Gay Sydney News also left contact details at the venue for the licensee – who was not present at the time – to call back. No response was received.
