Giveaway: Four of the best seats to camp musical Titanique

Ben GrubbBen GrubbFebruary 11, 2025, 3:38pm03 Mins Read

Gay Sydney News is giving you and three friends a chance to win tickets to an exclusive area in front of the stage for the special Sydney Mardi Gras performance of Titanique the musical this Saturday.

The winner will be given a "captain's table" at the show, to be held at 7.30pm on February 15 at the Grand Electric Theatre in Surry Hills, providing them and their friends the best seats in the house, valued at $580.

To enter, simply tag the friends you want to go with in the comments section of our Instagram post where this giveaway is being conducted. You don't need to get creative and you can enter multiple times, thereby increasing your chance to win by tagging more than one friend.

Tickets to Titanique's Saturday show are still available from $85 and can be purchased via titaniquemusical.com.au. If you can't attend Saturday's show, not to worry: the musical is scheduled to run until June 1.

As Gay Sydney News wrote in its review of the show, Titanique is a jukebox musical, fuelled by Céline Dion’s iconic anthems, and offers a brilliantly reimagined and hilarious twist on the Oscar-winning Titanic film.

In the show, Dion takes centre stage by hijacking a museum tour, boldly claiming she was aboard the Titanic and survived its sinking, all while sharing her own wildly entertaining version of that fateful night.

“What sets Titanique apart is its unapologetic campiness and humour, with witty lines and cheeky references to twinks and closeted gayness,” we wrote at the time.

“But it is not just a musical. It is a joyous celebration of storytelling and theatrical flair. If you’re not smiling by the end of this 90-minute extravaganza, you might just hate fun. For anyone who loves a quick, witty, and delightfully camp performance, Titanique is a must-see.”

Terms and conditions:

You may enter as many times as you like.

The winner of the captain's table will be drawn randomly at 5pm on Thursday and announced in the comments section of the Instagram post of this giveaway at 6pm on the same day.

Gay Sydney News will make contact with the winner via DM to provide them with the tickets. If they are unable to be contacted within 24 hours, another draw will commence at 5pm on Friday and the winner will be announced at 6pm on the same day, also in the same Instagram post's comments section.
