Aura – the new venue taking over the site of Sydney’s iconic Arq nightclub – will open in June and offer Friday nights to queer promoters, including some of the biggest names in the city’s LGBTQIA+ nightlife scene.

Arq Sydney nightclub’s signage was being taken down on Wednesday night and replaced with a new sign for Aura nightclub, indicating a lease has likely now been signed between the club’s incoming management and the building’s owner.

Australia’s original party queen DJ Havana Brown will headline a one-night-only revival of FAME, the former Friday night mainstay from GAYM Entertainment, this ANZAC Day Eve at Universal Sydney.
