The charges against accused double murderer Beau Lamarre-Condon have now been formalised but still no plea has been entered.
Lamarre-Condon appeared before Downing Centre local court on Tuesday via audio-visual link from Silverwater prison where he has been held since he was refused bail following his arrest six months ago.
The accused killer appeared emotionless and calm before the court, only speaking once to say “Yes, Your Honour” when asked if he could see and hear the proceedings.
The former police officer is alleged to have fatally shot former Channel 10 presenter Jesse Baird and Baird's Qantas flight attendant boyfriend Luke Davies with his police-issued gun on February 19.
Police allege Lamarre-Condon also broke into Baird’s share house in August last year, intending to commit the serious offence of stalking the presenter.
It is alleged that Lamarre-Condon was obsessed with Baird, and Davies was allegedly shot as collateral damage for being in the house at the time.
Returning before the court on Tuesday, Lamarre-Condon's lawyer John Walford said police had certified the accused killer's charges and would be withdrawing the murder charges and proceeding with two charges of domestic violence-related murder and a break-and-enter charge.
The court also heard about a password-protected USB, with both the defence and prosecution granted access to the USB. Its contents remain unknown.
Walford previously told reporters in June that the matter “may go to trial” and his client may rely on mental health grounds.
Lamarre-Condon, who was removed from the NSW Police Force in March, is next due to face court on October 8.
